Hosted by the Ministerial Alliance in Calhan, this is the annual event in Calhan designed to unite the community. Hear from community leaders and join us as we walk through Calhan with the silhouettes, representing victims of domestic violence who have lost their lives. Join us after the event for a homemade chili dinner.
Friday, October 10, 2008 Silent Witness Event Beginning at 11:30am Programs begin at 12:00pm and 5:00pm Pioneers' Museum Gazebo (near the corner of Tejon and Vemijo)
We gather to honor the victims and others in the community who have lost their lives as a result of domestic violence and to recognize those who continue with their struggle to survive (see attached flyer). Please come to hear their stories and support TESSA. Light refreshments provided.
Friday, October 17, 2008 Ladies Night Out Gold’s Gym 7655 North Union Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80920 Friday October 17, 2008 5-8pm
Join the Gold’s Gym staff and trainers for a Ladies Night Out and enjoy refreshments and activities including dance class and yoga, a guest speaker from Memorial Hospital and group discussions about women’s health issues. 100% of the $5 event fee will be donated to TESSA. There will also a bin available for people to donate their old cell phones for TESSA.

TESSA supporters in El Paso and Teller counties will be displaying a Silent Witness and putting up purple ribbons or posters in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We could not do the work that we do alone. If you see a Silent Witness or a Purple Ribbon around town, please take time to let the business or organization know how much their support of TESSA means to our community.
