There are myriad ways to donate to TESSA. We need financial contributions, matched gifts, gift cards, cell phones, volunteers, and much more! We are always in particular need of baby products, laundry baskets, full-sized household cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products (full size only, please, NOT travel sizes, first aid supplies, over the counter medicines, office furniture, new pillows, new pillowcases, new twin sized sheets, welcome mats, tampons, and dress-up clothing for children, both male and female.
In-kind items.
TESSA has limited space and staff time to deal with the many generous donations of in-kind goods about which we receive inquiries. We DO need full-size (not trial-size) deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, toothpaste and other personal care items. We also need diapers, baby wipes and other new baby supplies. However, we cannot accept most donations of furniture, used clothing or used appliances. We do partner with local organizations who can take these gifts in TESSA's name, such as the Episcopal Women's Thrift Store, Dress for Success (women's business clothing), One Nation Walking Together (furniture and appliances) and Goodwill. Goodwill and TESSA have partnered to offer vouchers to TESSA clients to get the items they need. For more information about Goodwill please call 471-4483. Donate used cellphones.
Cell phones are either reprogrammed by TESSA to be used by clients as 911-only phones or recycled/refurbished through a national domestic violence program, resulting in general operating dollars for TESSA. Please click here for more information ..
Donate gift cards.
TESSA can always use gift cards to stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, grocery stores, gas stations, etc...Please call us at 785-6809 if you are considering donating gift cards.
Its time for Spring Cleaning! TESSA is looking for new items that can be sold on eBay. So look through your closets and under your beds and see what you have that can be donated to raise money to support victim/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
