By the Numbers
It’s true that every contribution is a step toward changing lives. These examples illustrate only some of the impacts that our donors make for adults and children recovering from Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault (DVSA).

Needed Items for the Safehouse
Imagine having to flee your home right now in order to protect yourself and/or your children. What could you grab on the way out the door without wasting a second? Probably not much. Most of the more than 900 women and children who find safe shelter in our Safehouse arrive with very little.
While we prefer to be thought of as a high-impact agency, they don’t call us nonprofit for nothin’. Prefer to donate your time and skills? Then let’s talk! We’ve been the grateful recipients of many services over the years, services that can be the difference between money spent on things and money spent on survivors. Here are a few ideas, but we’d love to hear what you have in mind whether it’s listed below or not:
• Interior Painting
• Printing of Informational/Educational Materials
• Handyman Projects
• Sponsor a Donation Drive
Needed Support for all Survivors
Accessibility to support services for survivors is paramount and for those ready to start new lives, the simplest things can mean the most. You can give someone the opportunity to get life-changing help or change their life by donating:
• Baby Wipes
• Gas Cards
• Bus Passes
• Used or New Cell Phones
• Grocery Cards
Please note that TESSA typically does not accept clothing donations due to storage limitations and partnerships with other regional organizations who can provide clothing free to TESSA’s clients.
